Is it easy to replace? Do i have to remove the inside door trim to replace the handle?

Thanks.

I too have a broken handle drivers side that I will be replacing soon.
A couple of weeks ago I had to replace the power window motor and had the inside trim off for that and could not see how removing the trim was going to help me change the handle at all.
There is a plastic plug on the end of the door that will get you to one of the bolts, then from what I can tell by removing the latch and going through that hole you can get to the second bolt.
All I can is im pretty sure you cant get to any of it through the door panel area, the handle attachment bolts even face the edge of the door areas I mentioned.
hope this helps.
Please post your results, I plan on doing this same thing in the next few weeks after I find replacment parts.

One piece of advice for you guys.... Get a GM handle. Order one from Dal or get a one from a salvage yard.

Don't bother messing with the aftermarket ones in the Help section. this are some serious POS.

Thanks for the advice smalley, Thats what I meant in my post when I wrote "find a replacment" I read in some posts about poor aftermarket quality on these parts, when I hit the bone yards I will buy a couple "if available" for all three doors, I can see that the original equipment are not so hot either though.
maybe I should just shave them and install solinoids and keyless entry.

Now you're thinking!

I would also advise getting a newer model handle, something like 95+. They changed the design and they work much smoother. I broke my 92's at one point and the dealer had one but it was 95+. I took it and installed it. It worked much nicer. So much so in fact that when my wife wrecked the 92, it was one of the parts that I took off the van before sending it to the junkyard.

So i assume it's the same GM part number, for 1995 to 2005?

Not sure on that one. I just know they changed in there somewhere..

Sorry for the vagueness. It's been several years since I did this.
