I recently bought a 88 Celica with a blown engine. Me and a friend r currently taking it out and dont know if i should just get a reg St/Gt engine or go with a GTS engine. Im not exactly sure what the difference between the three and i dont know if they will all just bolt right in and connect to all the wiring harness that r already on the car . So please if anyone knows alot about this then that would b a great help to this project.
Also if there is anyone i could look to get a great deal on a engine let me know.
Thanks...

well it depends what year engine your trying to put in..you could put a gt-s in for a lil more power ...if it was a 2000+ youll have to change from a 5 speed to a 6 speed...

We'll i have a Gts Engine in the car as it sits now, and i would like to go with the same engine for a few reasons, the power, the fact that it's just a bolt in, and that it wont require any mod to the car . Thus with a gt/st engine i would have to relocate some of the components of the engine and the tranny may not even work correctly. It is an Automatic and i dont know wether to just get an engine or an engine + trans for it and just take mine out at one shot or take just the engine out alone. That is what is getting to me, In which the hubs will not come off so i dont know if u possibly know what i could do to get those off?
Thanks for the help, sry bout me jumping from thing to thing..

stick with the gt-s motor. the gt/st motors have like 98hp(pre 88) and 115(post 88) the gts has 135.
