Ok, I'll ask: Have you heard anything about a recall for injectors for the 3rd gen Max's?

I have not heard anything about the injectors but i did about the haed light wireing harnes on the early probuction dates of the 3rd gen. i will check for you tho. TWISTEDMAXIMA:bandit:

Alright man.. i have a question.. my friend and i are lookin for maximas 95 - 99 and we want ours to be fast.. we dont have much money and we are gonna work our ways up to turbos or superchargers.. but after we put in the intake and full exhausts what do you suggest to do next after we get those? Could u tell me the next 3 steps after that cause i kinda wanna know so i know what kinda money to save up and what im looking for! :sun:

after the full cold air intake and xahust///// ported out headers(or wait 4 the ones coming out on custommaxima.com) down pipe-highflow cat-and a cat back xahust or a b-pipe and a universal canister. your pretty much there in that section of the car.the car can now breath the air it needs and get rid of the left overs without getting constapated lol. then you might want to get yourself some good fuel injectors and a good fuel pump,and maybee a good fuel presure regulater.dont forget the good spark plugs(verry important you will feel the denso or the ngk iridium or platinum opose to the stock spark plugs) an under drive pully is a good buy aswell.(need different size belt when u instal the pully)the ECU upgrade is excelent but if you do plan on boosting dont get it. and the dons valve job is probably the best thing you can do if you got an auto matic/if you got a five speed get a lightened flywheel and a good clutch,......whith all this go fast power remember you gota b able to stop fast 2 so get some cross drilled or slotted rotors on the back and get a good big brake kit for the front w/ some good steal braided brake lines.get some good suspension to ...well b 4 i go rambelin on and on about stuf for your max let me just say that you gota take it one step at a time.(some things brand does not matter and in others brand realy does(safty equipment)......take it slow i did and boy did it pay off....ps im not finished yet TWISTEDMAXIMA:bandit:

is there a specific order to do all this cause i might want to put the heavy money in first like the lighten fly wheel.. (cause im lookin for a 5 speed) does that matter and then put the little stuff on after words like the fuel injectors and regulators and stuff? or would that fuck up the engine.. cause if i get enough money ill put that on cause i looked on custommaxima.com its like $500 and some change..

i am askin all these questions against my brother cause he thinks he knows what hes doing hes got a 96 golf and its pretty hooked up but hes did alot of shit to it and screwwed up his car and i dont want him to screw with my car and have my car with the trany slippin and the engin makin funny ass sounds.. so im askin the experts..

i would appreciate if u would help me out step by step.. so i dont screw things up..

THERE IS NO REAL ORDER to do all of this but there are procautions to take for each thing . I will help as much as i can. but you gota be the procautious dude (im not the one driving the car)dont run it to lean dont run it to rich. dont put shugar in the gas tank LOL! as you do ,or think about doing sumthin to your car just ask me and i will try to help you as much as i can. go to custom maxima.com i think they have a full body kit for that year. other than that i think you might have to get one custom made if your looking for a perticular style. remember anything is posible with a little $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$

Hey, I just installed some reverse indiglo guages on my '95 Maxima and for some reason the rpm needle its jumpy. It does not move in a smooth motion anymore and instead jumps from 1 to 2 to 3, etc in a very jerky motion. But the needle for my spedometer works just fine. Any ideas why it would jerk like that?

not shure but you might wana take it apart again and make shure its not cought on anything gently grab the needle and slowly move it back and fourth it should feel smooth/ also make shure that all wires are conected properly in the back and that u didint pinch any wires during re asembly....let me know what happens..(taking it apart is a pain in the ass ,but that might just b it) heck ! take some miles off while your at it..j/k

ok hjcool i think that your a/c control has jamed and stayed on cool. even thoe you can slide the switch back and fourth it still might be on cool internaly. you need to take it to the dealer and have theme check it out or try and take the dash appart and c if the a/c controll switch is still good. (thats what nissan told me)

ok feedouble heer u go the code u r looking for is inside the door pannel somwhere. i asked my nissan pals if there was a way 2 reset it,lets just say yes but not legaly! so they said that the only way is to open up the door pannel and the code shud be in there somwher. good luck,dont brake yer fastiner pins when removing the door pannel. l8r bro hope this helps.

I need help with changing the Dashboard lights that glow white during the night. I wanna change 'em so when u turn ur lights on the dash will glow red instead of white. Thanks.

its a pain but heer goes. first u need to remove the pastick face that is conected w/ yer bezel shade and yer dimmer and yer cruz controll.this is done w/ a philips head screw driver.there are two screws on the under part of the shade ,once u remove those you rab the bottom of the piece by the cruze button and the dimmer and pull back until it un snaps (B CAREFULLLLL) then disconect the wires leading to the dimmer and to the cruz controll button.toss the piece out of the wayyy.after you have removed the front piece the bezel should b exposed (all white piece w/ guages on it) this is being held by 4 or 5 screws, remove them and gently remove the bezzel..dont be afrraid of the wire jungle you are about to incounter(if u wher smart u disconected yer batt.) once the bezzel is out flip it around w/out streatching the wires to much so that you can get 2 the back of it.then look for 5 round bulb fasteners (mine wher a redish brownish color) then remove theme all bye twisting them 1/2 turn and pulling them out exposing the buld(the bulbs are the same ones you have on your door curtesy lights or on yer clear corners 4 those of u w/ 96 97 98 99 models) replace the bulbs w/ the collor u want the numbers on the guages to b RED,BLUE,GREEN,PURPLE,HIGHPERWHITE ..ects. (get good bulbs cuz sucky ones will fade,and you will have 2 perform this mod again):flash: putt everything back 2gether and dont forget to reconect yer cruzcontrol button and yer dimmer (YOUR BEZZEL WILL NOT LIGHT UP IF U DO NOT RECONECT YER DIMMER)took me a while to figure that 1 out??next make shure it lights up evenly if you have a dim side move the dimmer back and fourth once if that dosent work then you have a bad bulb(DO IT ALL AGAIN)then if it all lights up good wait till nighttime go pick up a buddy that is familiar w/ yer car and watch his face when he or she says DAM WHAT THE FU$% DID YOU DO TO YOUR GUAGES THAT S#$ IS TIGHT ,WHERE CAN I BUY THAT TYPE OF INDIGLOW??

Hello all,
Well I posted a message back in July about a knock sensor. Sad to say that was NOT the cause to my problem with my car. September 18th will be exactly 3 months that my car has been in the shop. That poor thing has been ripped apart and put back together and NO ONE can figure out WHY it dies and bogs out. She has her good days and bad. I wish for a miracle that someone somewhere would have a clue as to why this is happening. All the sensors have been checked and some replaced, including the knock sensor as well as the cam (that was originally told was bad by Nissan). Nothing, nothing, nothing!!!! If there is a miracle worker out there that has possibly came across the same situation, PLEASE OH PLEASE let me know. I would normally write this off and get a new car but I just paid her off in Feb 02.

What year is it ,what do you have in it, how many miles >>ib need 2 know as much as i can about the car so i can try and help you...

The speakers in the back of my wife's (mine) '91 Maxima; they're not 6x9's they're round; also how do these come out? The engine and transmission are in great shape and no money is owed on the car, would it be a good idea to fix it up a little? I can post pictures if needed. I like the car but she wants to get rid of it for an SUV. I'd rather get rid of my Grand Prix than the Maxima (more potential). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!:rolleyes:
