The Car Comparison Game!!! (part 2)

Well, the first thread was closed by the Mods, and for good reason. Without explaining the choices the whole thing was kinda pointless. So here's the new version; same game, slightly different rules:
RULE #1: Choose one of the two cars listed by the member above you, and explain in detail why you chose that car over the other. What qualities of that vehicle makes it a better option in your opinion?
RULE #2: After making/explaining your choice, list another pair of cars for the next member to choose from. Note: you may only compare cars in the same class/category.
RULE #3: You may not criticize another member for their choice/opinion. If a member however posts false/incorrect information you may correct that member if you have a legitimate source of information proving otherwise. No flaming!
This version should be more fun and alot more insightful. So here's the first comparison:
1969 Ford Mustang or 1969 Cheverolet Camaro?

Well, both those cars are closely matched in terms of performance, but I guess I'd take the 300ZX twin-turbo just because it's slightly nicer in my opinion.

how did the 300zx get a lower engine rating when it had more power and a better 0-60 time? lol.
anyways ill pick the 2000gt because of rarity. both cars are pretty similar and very good looking but id give a slight edge to the 2000gt.

I'd rather own the Supra twin-turbo. I mean, I love the classic Mustangs from the '60's and '70's, but the later model 'Stangs are just a "dime-a-dozen". The Supra is more exclusive and collectable.

I didn't know that Pontiac offered a V8 Solstice. That's awesome! I love the looks of the Solstice; very attractive design.
I am a big fan of both the VR-4 and WS-6, so that is a hard decision for me. Also, the year/generation of each would be a big factor in my deciding. Although I prefer the design of the '99 VR-4 (except for the wing), I'd probably choose the last-generation(#?) WS-6. But I would take a VR-4 Spyder over any Trans-Am any day of the week.

never saw anyone reply to his own thread so much. :p
anyway, new challenger for me. if we're judging based on concept alone (until the actual production models come out for a realistic street comparison, that's what i'm going on). the new challengers looks like a home run. hopefully the rest of the car backs up its good looks. i've been reading 400hp for the camaro and 425hp for the challenger but again, i'd have to make a more solid choice once the production models come out.
now let's' get back to current model cars. audi RS4 or bmw M3 CS.

Tough one...
As you all know, I'm an M3 nut. The E46 M3 CS (competition package in the US) gives alot of what the CSL gave without the price or the horsepower jump or wieght loss. The more direct steering ratio, M DSC mode, and bigger breaks make the M3 sportier without costing you alot of the comforts that come with a BMW 3-Series. On the other hand, the M3 is getting pretty dated, especially given that we will see the E92 M3 within a year or so. Powerwise the M3 is pretty far behind the RS4. The M3 would have a hell of a time keeping up with the RS4 in almost any test of performance. So technically the RS4 is the better car. Its bigger, faster, and more refined then the aging M car.
But despite it all, I love the M3 too much. I don't care how much faster your Audi goes in a 1/4 mile or around a track, I like my car more then yours for reasons I struggle to explain in words. BMW wins.

oh man the porsche
I mean, if its time to join the club, its time to join the club for real.
lol I dont know how to belabor my point... but if youve got it hy get the bm. Go for the real sports car.
Also, every thing Ive read shows the boxster is the best handling vehicle in mass production. I dont understand how but consumer reports rated it 100 and a lotus elise 99. Thats what I want a sports car for.
Also jd power rated porsche #1 this year. I mean Im assuming ere talking 2006 models. Bmw, well I dont know I dont believe in that brand as far reliability. I wont bore you with why but I dont believe in them.
Ok here we go :
Mazda miata or toyota mr2 spider?

Mazda miata or toyota mr2 spider
I'd have to go with the mr2 spider based solely on the fact that it is better performing with a high revving motor, and much more fun to drive. I don't particularly like the looks of either, so that's a wash. I haven't driven the new miata (I guess it's the MX-5 now) but it's supposed to be much better than the old one. But this is Miata vs. mr2, so it mr2 FTW.
Okay, next one is...

well taking into consideration that there both produced out of the same factory, with the same platform...i'd choose the saab
reson being, the saab is better looking to me than the suby and is 6 grand cheaper than the suby, though it may be a few tenths of a second slower, mainly due to less tq, with just a few hundred in mods, you are running same times if not more than the suby, i also prefer the interior of the saab over the suby

its not an option from the factory. some company put a corvette motor in the solstice and it was in a magazine.

The F430 smashed the Gallardo in their C&D comparo and James May chose a F430 for his Top Gear Supercar in season 7. I've never been a fan of Lambo, they seem to be the supercars for people that don't know much about supercars or just need attention. The F430 might just be my favorite car made at the moment.

BMW M5 is the essence of power, handling, with style and sohpistication...The 5.0L V10 with 500 hp is a critically acclaimed engineering masterpeice. Though I like the Maserati, it doesn't have the same sporty look, its 400hp V8 is outclassed, and the car in general is heavier
In terms of luxury and sport together the M5 takes it hands down...

the honda civic for the simple reason that it is simply hands down, in my mind way better than all of the other cars in the same class.
the moment the new civic was released, it rendered all family hatchback cars obselete in terms of design and execution and other car manufacturers will have to actually try and do something new now, instead of resting on their admittedly well earned laurels. VW and Ford have got to get the next gen Focus (i know, the new one isn't that old yet) and Golf (itself not as successful as VW had hoped and is set to get an early axing) absoultely perfect and hope that Honda don't move the design of the Civic on further.
I'll keep quiet about the reversion to twist beam at the rear.....

Ford Puma if you have shallow pockets, the Fiat if you have deep pockets.
The Ford wins on design, though is a loser in the performance department (Though draws even on handling).
But the Ford is more reliable and better built than the Fiat could ever dream to be, also lower insurance, cheaper fuel bills etc.
Holden Commodore 5.7 SS (2000) or Chevrolet Camaro 5.7 SS (2000)?

I like camaro better because it looks better than Commodore. Also commodore is Australian and will have right hand steering if I am correct. Camaro looks more like a true muscle car, Holden is softer. Plus who wants to have a grandpa of GTO we have in US right now ?
