Camber Kits

Has anyone else purchased the mounting bracket type camber kits for the front upper control arms? I'm use to buying the adjustable ball joints, but the company that I order wholesale through stopped carrying them, and only have this type now. I purchased a set for my 91 Si, but they don't seem to be working to good. I still have stock springs that have a little sag, and throw the camber negative just a bit. So, I figure that a set with a 1.5 adjustment should work fine, which it does, but pushes the control arms too far forward. Now it just bottoms out on the ridge where the fender meets the inner fender well. Of coarse now it's smashed that area flat, but still makes a hell of a racket when riding over a good pot hole. The brackets are only adjusted half of their travel, and can't imagine them working at all on a car thats really lowered. I called the company that I purchased them from to see if there have been any other complaints, but they just played dumb.
Does anyone have any input for this? Surely whomever designed these things took stuff like this into consideration.
