Had at least exhaust.
Plate read 'WHTWHNE'
I have a feeling it had more than exhaust, but I wasn't able to talk with him.
I went out to get some gas in the T/A. Won't have time tomorrow night after work and Wednesday afternoon I am racing it at the track. So, just took it down the street.
I was on a local 2 lane road (55 MPH) and I see the car. I go about 60 to catch him. Side by side for a while, then just as I step on it in 3rd gear, he does too.
From roughly 55-85 I put about 1 1/2 cars on him.
I had to get outta it as traffic was approaching.
We both take a left at the next light. I am behind him.
We get around the corner, and he goes WOT. Took him a second to do it, so I thought we were done playing and had already shifted into 2nd.
I just floor it....I had to short-shift 2nd gear to avoid hitting his bumper. 3rd was basicly the same.
We both slow up....and I head home.
Quick wave.
Fun!

You didn't put the beating I expected on him, but nonetheless, very nice kill, especially considering the altitude! Congrats!
I don't know what would have happened if we actually got to run a good distance.
I wish I knew what was done...Most of the Cobras around here at least have the pulley swap done.
Would have liked to have had some distance and been able to run him from a dig or a slower roll.

Don't worry. A pulley swap Cobra, or even a ported Eaton one will not likely beat you, unless enhanced by spray.
At your current ratings, It'll likely take a KB or Whipple Cobra to walk you, considering the weight disadvantage Cobras have.

Good kill. I'm sure if you were able to get around him there'd be one irritated Cobra owner. Still though, the fact that bolt ons Cobra can tally up to 450whp, gives them half a chance. I can't say the same of the Ford GT500, because it doesn't seem all that much faster then the "Terminators".

Well...never got lined up with the GT500.
Not like it would have been a race anyways....it was running low 14's. He couldn't hook.
Got a new personal best...12.324 at 115.55.
Weather conditions were HORRIBLE. DA was around 8500.
Finally got her outta the hole decent today though. 1.868 short time.
On the Nitto's, not the M/T's.

Bah, you have an automatic. You can make Luos look stupid for the amount of money he put into his car. Buy some gears, CAI, Long Tube Headers, a cam, and a 3000+ stall converter w/ drag radials, and i'll guarantee you make Luos time look bad. That's why I hate automatic cars. It's soo easy, and the drivers claim it's their skill :p

Unless he starts looking at low 11's...he won't make me look bad.
We all know what kind of disadvantage I have here in Denver. Freaking density altitude for that 12.3 pass was 8500.
Adjust that to a DA of zero and I run 10.7 at 130.
If you would like, I can link you to the calculator and give you the weather conditions.
Get this....Even if I get a perfect DA here (5800) instead of the 8500, I correct to an 11.8 at 119.

Yeah we have a track called Palmdale where I am at. It's at 2700ft. elevation, but has a Density Altitude typically in the 5-6K feet density altitude (It's hot as F, as it is in the desert ~ 110 degrees outside, much hotter on the track). I remember going there w/ my former Z28 and only running a 14.0 sec. 1/4 mile at 102mph. People laughed their heads off at my times, but I saw mustangs barely breaking into high 14's there (Cobras too). Most people don't know that altitude affects cars, so I gave up on arguing with them. That's why I go to sea level tracks. No reason to go to a track and run crappy times that everyone will make fun of, even if you are smoking Vipers at that same track. Go figure.

Finally got some info on the Cobra tonight....
From the owner of a local dyno shop that happens to deal with mostly Terminators....
He is a young kid that we have done a few things for. He has all the typical bolt ons, including a smaller upper pulley, CAI, CB, ported blower, etc.etc.etc... He lays down about 500 HP to the tires....
You have a run in with him on the street or something? He is part of a "group" up north with alot of shit talkers....lol
