I've already installed an aftermarked head unit in this car before, got a new pioneer headunit and tried to install it last night. No go. Somehow I must have blew a fuse or something because I can no longer get power on my battery lead. Can get power on my ACC lead, just not the battery. Lighter seems to have power. Looked threw all the fuses I could find and didn't see any of them blown. Any ideas? I will even look at the fuses again if someone can tell me exactly which one controls the battery lead's power. Thanks.

Welcome to AF !
Did the new stereo come with a fuse built in next to the wiring harness??
I'd check that one.

there is a fuse inline with new headunit, but the wiring harness is from my older aftermarked head unit and does not have a fuse inline. I tried putting in my old headunit again and no go. I know the battery line itself isn't sending power because me and a buddy were testing them with a 12v computer fan :) Acc sends power, just not the batter line. I'm pretty sure it has to be a fuse, but hell if I know where or what on. I looked at all I could and didn't find a blown one.

You sure the one in the back of that pioneer isnt blown?
Most all pioneers now hav one there.
If the factory wires were used,
thiers drivers side FB, b.radio acc, pass side FB, H) radio battry. thats the only two, Good Luck.
UPDATE !!
OK !!
Just thought of this, you are using both pioneer headunits ?
The wires for them may not be located in the right order/place.
I just done a 98' GTP with a Pioneer(new model) with an older, two years or so, and the plug fit just fine. Thought that was easy...
The thing didnt work, well it took a cd but the display and sound was gone.
After checking everything twice, Found that some of the wires were changed. So I had to cut the old harness and rewire the intire thing :( it wasnt bad, just done it when it was 100deg out side :shakehead
