Key fob question

Alright.....I've been working on the Escort today. I've been able to solve a few minor problems but the key fob has me beat. It will only lock and unlock the drivers door. Is this something common?? Thanks for any help.

I assume by key fob you mean a keyless entry controller? If that's so, when you press the button to unlock, the driver's side door is the only one that unlocks? When you press the unlock button on the door (assuming that you have keyless entry and power locks) does the passenger door unlock? Furthermore, is it a 2 door or 4 door?

You'll need to provide more information to define your question, but if it is a 2 door and the keyless entry nor the door switch power unlock the passenger door, I would suspect the door lock actuator, or possibly wiring to it.
