96 ls low 15 1/4

I want a low 15 sec 96 ls. I am wanting to stay n/a and no ls/vtec. already have i/h/e and a stage 2 clutch. was wonderinge what would send me to low 15s for 500 dollars. looking into intake manifold and 68mm throttle body.

nitrous, change youir compression, upgrade your head. bore it out, port polish, there are alot of things you can do to get you closer to low 15. may i ask why you only want low 15 and not low 12???

Intake manifold and throttle body are worthless, you'll end up losing low end power. But yeah, nitrous is really the only thing that will do it for that budget. Also swapping out the transmission for a b16a or b18c one will help you as well. <- You could find one for around that price or cheaper if you search around enough.

don't go nitrous it will destroy your engine in the long run. Most people can't resist pushing it with nitrous.

You can easily reach low 15's in an LS. Basic bolt ons I/H/E, good tires and a nice set of cams with decent tuning will probably put you there. I'd say the throttle body and manifold would be a waste at this point.
