99% complete, managed to get some pictures in between the rain here in the UK!

It is worth pointing out that this was the AMT Vanishing Point kit and the fit was generally very poor. The kit comes with the option to make as a convertible which made fixing the roof on extermely tricky! Eventually managed it by gluing on with epoxy resin glue followed by a lot of filling and sanding!

It would have been a lot simpler to get the Revell Monogram kit which comes as a hardtop and probably has much better fitting parts!

Yes, it would have been easier to use the 1/24 Revell/Monogram Challenger body, but this one looks better. Nice work blending the roof! There are one or two people in the US making the same hardtop conversion and casting them in resin. The proportions of the AMT Challenger are nicer than the R/M.

Nice job :sunglasse

Thanks

Nice to know it is a better shape it makes the extra effort worthwhile!

I forgot to mention that you also have to blend in the front valance but I think the R M kit is the same.

Thanks for the comment.

For the pics I just put the camera onto it's highest setting (6MB) and set onto macro then focus on the bit I want to take the picture of before pressing the button. It sometimes focuses on the wrong part so I just try again until it works!

Good work. turned out really nice. I love sublime green...( see avatar). I like the chin spolier in black looks way better. Is it me or does the steering wheel seem really thick, or is it just the pic?

I think this is about the nicest Challenger I have ever seen. Very nice clean build. The engine bay is great also with the extra detailing you have done. Looking forward to your next one.

I love all the details you've put into this and how clean this looks. Being a UK'er myself, I give a whole lotta credit for getting such good shots when it's raining so damn much :grinyes: ! Great build.

Thanks for all of the kind comments it makes the effort all the more worthwhile!

Next project is a Porsche 968 CS being built as a birthday gift for somebody who owns one (not jealous at all!) After that it will probably be another muscle car though (maybe 1967 Chevelle SS 396).
