buddy of mine has 1986 Lincoln Continental 5.0 EFI with hydroboost. the hydroboost/master cylinder has gone out on it but the problem is that we cannot find another hydro boost system like the one on it.

it only has 2 or 3 bolts instead of 4, not in chiltons(to my knowledge), brake speciallist say theyve never seen anything like it b4...if anyone knows anything about this system and how to get it running or where to find one like it PLEASE let me know, thanx n advance.

First, you need to get this PDF document:
http://www.mightyautoparts.com/pdf/articles/tt113.pdf

Second, exactly what's wrong? The master Cyl, or the Hydraulic system?
I see the master cyl. for around $300 online, rebuild kits are also listed as special order parts. Booster is also listed as special order.

Then I see here: http://www.priorreman.com/ you might have a booster with no master cyl. Odd beast !!

Is the steering dead too? The Power Steering pump also runs the Hydroboost. It's recommended to flush and bleed both systems periodically.

Yea im not sure what is wrong with it since its not my car but i know that my friend told me the entire assembly needed to be replaced, hydroboost and master cylinder, and my problem is non of the hydroboost systems that i found bolt up to the car because the one on the car has a different bolt pattern than the others(2 bolt instead of 4) also the car HAS ABS Hydroboost and Air ride suspension(not sure if thats tied into the same system or not)
