On my 98 crv the automatic door lock makes a buzzing noise when it engages the right passenger door lock only. It dosen't make the noise when it disengages.
Can anyone help determine cause.

Hi there.
My 1998 CR-V started doing something similar with the same door (weird noises when I went to lock/unlock it). Eventually it seized up, which I suspect was caused by lack of use. When you think about it, it's the door you probably use the least.
I eventually had to forcefully take it apart from the inside, coat the locking device with a chemical lubricant, and use repeated force on the rod to force it to unlock.
Once I had it open I coated it with WD-40. Now it works great.
Word to the wise: keep it lubricated if it starts seizing up.
