It is left handed thread so you will have to go right to loosen it. You should have a special tool to remove it try Parts America or AutoZone they should rent it to you. If not I have used a wrench for the large nut with the belt is on and to smaller wrenches on the bolts that hold the pulley on this takes 2 people, the tool would only take one.

All you need is the proper size combination wrench, just had mine off but can't remember what size it was, and hold slight tension and give the wrench a quick rap with a hammer and it comes right off

I have all the bolts out that I can find , but it still won't move forward off the water pump. I have taken plenty of these off, but never like this. The belt pulley is loose, but there are more bolts behind it.

Glenda,
As I've done this about 10 times lately, please let me offer you a suggestion. I use a Strap Wrench (Rubber Strap) and a Combination Wrench. Take off the belt and put the strap wrench on the pulley, pulling up against the strap lock. You should be able to unscrew the Clutch by pushing down on the wrench, assuming you're left handed and working from the passenger side of the truck. I've been having an overheating problem myself and have had to remove mine multiple times. When you reinstall, use a little silicone sealer on the threads to make it easier to remove next time. You won't need to really tighten it too much as it's basically self-tightening. Good luck!

You only need to remove the center hex nut 1 1/8 or 1 3/16 whatever it is. You don't need to remove anything else. If you position your combination wrench so it is standing straight up and hold a slight tension with your left hand and give it a sharp hit with a hammer(towards the passenger side) it will come right off. If it doesn't come off the first time try again. Once you get it loose you can wind it off by turning the fan.
