My 98 Astro AWD all the sudden pulls hard to the right on braking....also, when cold first thing, it locks up on the first 1 or 2 brake applications.
All brake parts are new (within the last 8 mos.) new rotors, calipers, pads, shoes, hardware, etc.
Pulled both front wheels, all looks good.....could any rear brake cause this?

Mine did that too, only all the time.Someone wrote in another thread about the rubber hose from the caliper to the steel line deteriorates not allowing fluid to move through it. Made sense, replaced left hose and all is good again. Mine wouldnt hardly break on the left side, but when it did it wouldnt release either. I hated that feeling of having to fight to keep the vehicle from going in the ditch when I hit the skids. Very frustrating problem and glad I got it fixed.

If it pulls right, you most likely have a problem with the left side. Most likely you have air in the line, considering you had everything replaced recently. Its locking up on the right becasue your left isn't contributing much to braking. Check the fluid level in the master cylinder and check for leaks. If everythings OK, consider bleeding the line from the left brake caliper to see if you have air in the line.
