:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: My 87 has developed an idle of about 1200rpms and it only goes down when the Air is on. I checked for any code on the Computer byt the only significant ones wher that it couldn't control the idle during the test. I've checked the TPS the Idle air bypass, I;ve checked for vacum leaks. But I'm stumped and with the summer almost over it may be rough to run in the snow with the AC going. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Check the throddle body valve (remove the air intake to the fuel injection) and clean, also there is a electronic throddle valve on the left side and can be damaged easily, so check it. If this does not fix your gremlin then check the PIP plug on the distributor (this is a two prong two wire plug that is removed for timing) It can be found on the passenge side below the valve cover and if you are not sure if there is a plug and you see two female sockets then install a temp wire across.
Good luck I hope this helps
