My 93 pick up needs a clutch installed and i was wondering how much it should cost. What kind of maintenace needs to be done while the tranny is out?
thanks in advance.

Other things that may need doing.
Transmission mount(s)
Transmission oil change
Clutch slave cylinder, only if leaking
U-joints

Call around, it is a straight forward job, and compare prices in your area. When comparing prices, ask what kind of parts the shop uses and what their warranty is.

also sometimes they have to replace the flywheel, or turn it.

It cost me $300 USD to have my new clutch-plate, pressure-plate, pilot-bearing, master-cylinder, and slave-cylinder installed.

A good price for clutch work is 2 hours labour at $60.00/hour and $130.00 for parts (in canadian dollars). Keep in mind this is budget parts.
