Hi,
Not my work, however, I found this posting in a Mustang Forum sometime
back and thought it should get out there for those who like to do there own
thing and like to save money. Its the most affordable paint job out there.
Mix the Rustoleum (Tremclad = Rustoleum) paint 50/50 with mineral spirits,
and used a 4" wide, high density foam roller.
Using the mineral spirits slows the flash and lets the paint self level very
well. 2 coats - wet sand, 2 coats - wet sand, 2 coats - wet sand, let cure and
then finish.
It looks as good as a single stage acrylic.
As with all paint jobs, prep is 90% of the result.

I hope the sun does not make that paint crack after time. If that is the case, your going to have a lot more trouble later down the road.

Agreed. I would like to see how this with stands the test of time. I would be worried that over time the short-cut your come back to haunt you.
