Has anyone removed the smog system in the LT1? Is this something I can do that is reversable? how difficult is the removal process?
Not looking for guesswork/speculation here, would like to hear from someone that has done this before...

Thanks,
Tim

Yes, I have no emissions equiptment on my car as of now. It is reversable but it wouldn't be much fun to put back on. If you're looking for a hp gain I wouldnt do it because I wouldnt expect hardly any. It clears up a lot of room in the engine bay and makes maintinence a lot easier. The main reason I would even think about remvoing it all is if I was installing emissionless headers because it is all kind of linked to the manifolds.

You can use 1/2"(i think) brass caps from the hardware store. Just take off the emissions valve things and then screw the cap onto the lines.
