How do you program a remote for an 2000 Olds Alero?

:grinno: I purchased a keyless remote for my 2000 Olds Alero......the ad said easy programing. I followed the instructions and it won't program. I even searched and tried instructions on a search engine...it still won't program. Is there anyone on here who knows how to program the remote for my 2000 Olds Alero without going to a dealer garage?:banghead:
