I have 3 Mtx 4500s in a sledgehammer box(u can see them on the mtx site) they are 4 ohm, bridged i think becasue there is only 1 output on the back of the box. I have a total mobile audio 400/2 amp hooked up to them right now and i want a bigger amp with a bass knob. Im lookin to spend $250 max and have at least 500 watts rms to them. they are 675 watts rms. i was lookin at JLs 500/1 or 250/1 but they are a little out of my price range. other than JL, i dont know much about amps so i NEED some help soon. Volfenhag ZX-8400 - Volfenhag 2 Ch. 2000 Watt Amplifier. i found this amp on ebay but idk if it is good or not. so if anyone has any experience with them, tell me how they are. i need to make a decision soon on an amp so please help!!!

i have a kole audio amp that max out at 2000 watts and briged is 900 by 2 ohms and has bass boost knob.. i paid 180 for it on millionbuy.com .. so far no prob or complaints... if you look on ebay you can prolly find an amp for that price as well...

you need to know what the total impedance (ohms) of the box is ..... it will make a big difference in what type of amp you want. Look on the box (or your receipt) and find the exact part #, then look on the site. I think each box is either a total 4 ohm or 2 ohm load.

the total load is 4 ohm, it says on the back of the box. and the total rms is 675 watts. i just need to find a decent amp that works good with it so maybe post some links...

that may be a difficult problem ... most of the high power sub amps make their power at low loads like 1 ohm. You may be able to find a 150 watt X 2 and bridge it ..... that should be around 600 watts with a 4 ohm load (if I did my math right)

I bought a Power Acoustik amp and it does I think 600 rms bridged at 4 ohm. But don't quote me on that.

You might look into Profile amps, good amps for a tight budget.

Oh and just set your gain right and leave the bass boost knob alone.
