My AIR valve thing is rounded-off in my driver's side exhaust manifold and I can't seem to get it out. I am thinking of just pulling it out with the manifold and buying a new one for my headers. Does anyone know where I could order one and what it is actually called.
Its the top left pic and its just the metal piece that comes out of the manifold with the curve up top.

you are going with emissioned headers? thats a pretty easy part to get, you just go to the dealership and tell them approximatly where it's located and they can find it.

it is the smog pump line. What do you mean it is rounded?

I assume he tried removing it off the stock manifolds and stripped the nut.

yup, which makes it kind of difficult to put back on the new headers...

Yeah, I still had to have the emissions equipment on the car to pass visual inspection here.

Well, I got everything off but the passenger side manifold. I'm still trying to figure out how exactly to get to the bolts. Plus I have to wait for that AIR crap and find new gaskets because the OEM ones I picked up from Advanced Auto don't match up with the headers. But other than that, its fun with a friend helping. But I can now say that the $500 install charge from the shop is worth it.

I think I have reduced the weight of my car with removing all that damn rust. There was so much, it was ridiculous. Ironically, the manifold bolts were the easiest to take out. We also broke a few bolts and found that the dr-side manifold only had 5 bolts in it! Plus the y-pipe bolts that connect to the manifold were ALL different sizes. It was insane.

I have some of those I think and if I can find it you can have it for free. So cut the bastard off.

Yeah, that looks about right. I haven't done it yet, but that's how I pictured it. I got another dumb question.

I got all the header bolts out of the passenger side manifold (there were only 5 there too) and I went to take it out, but its connected still to something in the back up top. I think its connected to the intake manifold. I can barely see it from under the car. What the hell is it and how the hell do I get if off so I can take the manifold off?

And why are the knobs on those doors not level?

lol i just noticed that myself... and I dunno... cant complain though they were free.... um you are still connected to your egr recerculation hose... it connects to the back of the manifold and then to the intake manifold....
