Does anyone know how to get a check engine light code from the computer and also reset it ?

Autozone will read your codes for free. I am not sure if you have Autozone in your place. Check out their locations at the www.Autozone.com (http://www.Autozone.com).

Make sure you write down whatever code they pull. The codes are listed in the FAQ. The beauty of Autozone is that they pull 96+ car codes for free. The downside, is there is usually a reason the guys are working at Autozone and not an actual mechanic's shop. 9 times out of 10, when I have gotten a code pulled at an Autozone, their troubleshooting 'advice' was pure garbage. 1 time out of 10, the guy actually knew what he was talking about.

So bottom line, write down wahtever codes tehy pull, and take their advice with a grain of salt. And before purchasing anything, it would be prudent to
A) double check the FAQ, and make sure they gave you the right definition for the numbered code they pulled
and
B) do a search or ask on here, for some troubleshooting help

Hate to see people waste money on parts they don't need....and that is why Autozone pulls codes for free :biggrin:
