distributor order

I recently changed my plugs on my 88 2.8 v6. Stupid me, took out the wires and now i dont know the distributor numbering. I know the firing order, I just dont know where #1 is on the distributor and so on. Help?!

The easiest way to find it would be to remove number 1 plug, and "bump" (disconnect the coil) it around until you have compression at the spark plug hole. Remove the cap and see where it's pointing.
