The old keyless entry for my PATS is dead. It got submerged in water and since has not worked (I even tried to change the battery). I received a replacement transmitter from Ford, but there were no programming instructions with the replacement. Does anyone know the steps I need to take?

Turn the key to the "ON" position. Momentarily jump the pins on the programming connector located behind the glove box. Horn will chirp. Press any button on 1st transmitter (horn will chirp) then any button on second trasmitter (if you have 2). Turn key "OFF" and the horn will chirp to exit programming mode.

Thanks for the information Johnny. I will try this out tonight. I'm sure I'll be back here if it doesn't work out.

I looked behind the glove box and I did not see much there. Am I going to have to get out some tools and start looking deeper, or is there another spot this might be at? Can you possibly give me a more exact location?

OK, I found an old copy of some programming instructions, and they say to push the emergency override/programming button. Does anyone know where this button might be?

It should be behind the glovebox. It's just a connector with nothing plugged into it. I have also seen them in the trunk on the left inner panel behind the material.

Do you happen to have a picture of what it would look like?
