If it's paper you could fix it, even if it's not it's still fixable. I don't know what it'll sound like it after, depends on the job done. I had wholes in the surround on one of my woofers, sounded like shit, tryed using caulk but that's very temporary.

I always layered several layers of tissue paper, using nail polish between each layer. It's kinda like "poorboy fiberglass", pretty tough actually. It's not gonna last forever, but long enough to replace the sub...

My polks have holes in the sorround, and small cuts in the cones. They dont sound any different but it looks like shit. Rubber cement is perfect for the sorround, and for the cone same thing or some plastic cement.

Mine were in sealed boxes, so yes, they sounded like shit getting air pushed out through a little whole.

Mine are sealed.
Paul my subs have changed hands like 3 times, i payed $50 for them in a crap sealed box. Im surprised they still hit, the damn label on the back says 1994 copyright and they changed the model in 96 so there damn near close to being 10 years old. I like them. But im waiting to get everything together for some arsenals.
