I have a 96 Chevy Cavalier and it seems to overheat as I drive. I've check all fluids and it all good there. But my cooling fan does not seem to be turning on and the air does not get cool. Can someone let me know what this might be and how to fix it???????????:banghead:

Welcome on your first post on AF.
You answered your own question on heating up.
Check relay and fuses and cooling fan motor.
See if fan motor is getting 12 volt power and ground to if so.
The fan motor is bad.

Bleed your coolant for any air, if theres air in the coolant it will overheat no matter what. Basically u let ur car warm up, then loosen the little screw slowly that is right close to the block, its a black bar with a screw in the middle and it should say soemthing like do not bleed when hot. let air run out of the screw until just coolant comes out.

BTW most peoples fans work without them even knowing. I never thought mine worked but one day i made sure, i let it sit and idle for awhile then i heard a bzzzzzzz, hoooray my fan kicked on. Its just for some reason the fan relay waits until its rly hot to start as most cars do it at midway ish.
