Hi -
I have an issue with my 4 wheel drive. Whenever I put it into any gear like 4 high or low it just pops out. I have to hold it in in order to use 4 wheel drive. It doesnt stay in for even a second, it just falls back to the original position. Do any you have any suggestions?
Here is what the jeep looks like: 93 wrangler, 4 inch lift, big tires.. thats about all I know=) any help would be great!
Thanks- Megan Evans

Do you know if it has a body lift or suspension lift or combination of both?

I just found out I have a 4 inch suspension lift=) It also has reversed shackles, but Im not sure what that means. It started doing this when the rear case was replaced?

to me, it sounds like the linkage from the levar to the T-case is out of adjustment.
to get it adjusted properly, crawl under the jeep, disconnect the linkage, manually move the levar on the T-case to the 4-hi position. then put the inside levar in to the 4-hi position. then, go back under the jeep, and adjust the linkage as nesesary(sp), and reattatch it.

I would have to agree with the linkage issue.
