95k on engine, guessing it is time for spark plug/wire replacement, bought it used, but looking to do the job, any suggestions on what plugs/wires, what else should I replace? How hard is it to get to the plugs, any tricks to it?

The rear plugs are the PIA ones . You really have to get at them from underneath . If you can afford it go to the dealer and get their wires , if not i have used Bosch before without a problem . Use the recomended Champions for plug replacements . Also if you just got the van you need to find out if the timing belt has ever been done , if not this is due and will leave you stranded if it breaks , another PIA job and better left to a mechanic but it will cost you probably $300-350 to get it done and it is recomended that you do the water pump while they are in there . This is a belt on this engine not a chain like the 3.3 or 3.8 liter which would last until at least 200000 miles . Not what you wanted to hear I know , just warning you .

Timing belt is internal on these engines, as is the water pump. Hence the advise to change the water pump while the engine is disassembled for the belt. You wouldn't want to pay the labor twice. If you have the belt changed now, and not the pump, when the pump does start leaking, it will contaminate the new timing belt with antifreeze, or worst case sieze up and break the belt ( the timing belt drives the water pump.)
