What's the fastest you've gone?

Yeh I know what u mean most of our cars are under powered compared to US versions, They do handle alot better cos we have these things called bends and corners on our roads :p (lol) They have to be driven hard to be real fun, normally 5000 revs and above.
I got to drive a Dodge Dakota 4x4 Sport V8 Magnum, while i was in Canada for awhile, 240Bhp i think. Put it in 2wd and floored it :D o what fun!!!:sun: Nice Truck, cheap price, but about $2000 to import it to UK:( And the price of fuel over here is way too high:confused: Bloody Tax:confused: but still the Dakota did 110mph and was alot more stable than a Land rover Discovery or Mitsu Shogun.
Wish i could try a Hemi:devil: That really would lose me my licence.

Hemi.. um, yes. 425hp (closer to 500 though, they were under-rated). 0-60 in the 5's (bad tires), a quarter in the low 13's (again, tires). Very nice:)

But European cars are also more involving to drive. If you ever try to steer a Pontiac Grand Am, it will steer, but you have no idea what the wheels are doing! And that sucks:( I prefer the steering on an 87 Nissan King Cab with the 4-pot. It may handle worth poop, but you can tell that the front wheels are slipping, and what the road is like, etc, etc.

First off, I'm impressed, some of you are frickin' ballsy mofo's. 160 mph?!?! That's crazy!! The fastest I've been is 135 mph in my Teg back when I had my JRSC installed. I was racing a cypress green Teg, that I assume must have had some serious mods, because there I was going 135 on a downhill, and even though I was still increasing speed, he was still pulling away from me (slowly, but nevertheless he was pulling away), and I decided enough is enough and eased off. I was scared shitless because cars in the lane next to me were going like 65 to 70. I was shaking for a moment or two after that. I plan to top 135 mph once I get my new engine and rebuilt SC installed.

well the fastest i ever went was 145 in my monte carlo ss and i almost threw up when i saw the the good old blue and whites after my ass

coming home from the ferry i was just cookin along at about 11pm (close to the highway) i was just gettin back from P.E.I....(an island in canada)... it was starting to get late so i tramped her down trying to make it home quicker and by the time i was doin 130 he had already seen me so i thought ohh F*** im done for ......when i was pulled over all he asked was the reason why i was goin so fast ,i told him i was only 16 and i needed to get home before 12 so i don't get a fine ... he just laughed and let me off with a warning... i geuss it was because there was no one on the road at the time..

130km/h isn't very fast... that's only like 75-80mph (guess)

When you got pulled over, did he ask to see your license??

Lucky Basterd. I got pulled over doing 92 in a 65 and all the cop asked was to see my license and registration, and the thing he gave me was in the shape of a tick it.

Whoa whoa whoa, 353 km/hour? That's 219.3 miles/hour. That can't be right, especially if that wasn't quite "topped out." Motor Trend has tested the top speed of the Viper GTS, and has arrived at figures like 188 mph and 192 mph. And that's with the GTS coupe with a hard top (which should be faster than the RT/10 convertible).

Maybe this is what they warn you about, how your speedo may be inaccurate at high speeds. Hey, I'd like to believe that, but I simply can't. A Lingenfelter twin turbo C5 Corvette can barely reach speeds like that (I believe the recorded top speed was 225 mph). It's not a Hennessy or otherwise modded Viper, is it?

It wasn't a Hennessy Viper, but it was modded. We do all our own work on it too - it's called shit loads of money he got and lots of free time. Notice, I never said it wasn't modded or it was. Next time, dont jump to soo many fucking conclusions until you got facts straight. Have you ever gone that fast before? Probably not, eh? it takes a long time to get to even 200mph
plus it sounds incredibly stupid to do 220mph in a public area, not on a track

also it would be really hard to get a Viper RT/10 to do 220mph..... that's only 20mph slower than the FASTEST street legal car in the world, Mclaren

I know of 3 other Vipers that can do these speeds. These are just people that I actually know. Look around. Ask around. Don't look on the surface, look beneath everything to see all the REAL cars. And, if you knew anything about the Island, you would know that the Freeway is practically a drag strip, it just has a few slight turns in it that NO car could do over 300 in. :devil:

i agree with you gang$tarr, 220mph is fucking unreal for a freeway. i highly doubt that this is true.

almost every highway/freeway is basically straight for most of it.... but there are so many cars and other things that make it tough

i don't know about B.C. but here where i live there are like 20 lane freeways (near Toronto) and have big concrete barriers for opposite directions. and they still have heavy traffic! :mad:

not in Toronto...I've got some relatives in Peterborough, and the freeways around there are like what I described.

i can't beleive how small vancouvers population is and it looks like a bigger city... it's only like 250k more people than my city, and mines not considered very big in Ontario. Vancouver looks like it has atleast a million people but it only has like 700k
it's a really nice place though..... we got a chalet in whistler, so we can go down on vacations, we go once or twice a year and our house on whistler probably cost a couple times as much as our regular house :eek:
