Front A/C will change to heat while driving

My 2004 Tahoe will go from A/C to heat while I am driving. I have to pull over, turn the car off and turn it back on to reset it so it blows cool air again. I have played with the controls and everything, but the only thing that will get it to blow cool again is by turning it off then on again. Any ideas/suggestions/recommendations? Thanks.

Its still under warranty. Take it back to the dealer.

It may be a low pressure switch causing the compessor not to run. When it is blowing warm, see if the compressor is working.

My 06 was doing that right after I bought it. Drivers side would go full heat while passanger and rear was fine. Had a bad damper motor. Dealer replaced under warranty.

The dealer will be pleased to charge you $350 to fix this problem, but the actuator vavle is about $35.00 online AC Delco part 15-7502
