Hypothetical computer-eye sight problem question (totally hypethetical)

Guys.

Can, theoretically speaking, playing a computer game, for example, ... World of Warcraft, for say, for example, hypothetically speaking, 9 hours a day for a year straight... be bad for your eyes?

Like, just hypothetically speaking, the person who plays said game for said period of time start to lose their ability to read text at a distance? Say 10m?:screwy:

Probably. Apparently sitting at a computer screen for hours forces your eyes to get used to seeing things at close range.

So you should take a break every couple of hours and look at things far away.

Dude seriously, that game is electronic crack. Delete it and come back to the real world.

Yup. You should look away from the monitor and across the room or outside, as far as you can, every 20 minutes or so.

Davo.. I think you should check out the better game than WoW.. and play Eve Online.. trial is for 14 days and from what i've heard its a crap load better than WoW

WoW is just a gateway game, it always leads to much more serious addictions to real hardcore stuff.

i used to play starcraft for hours on end, much like WOW back in the day. im kinda addicte to Diablo again, but my PS2 broke so...i feel lost.

I did standard computer OH&S and I do look away, I normally have a TV on about 5m away from me and I watch that inbetween fights and shit, although PvP is pretty hardcore.
