steering wheel/horn issues

i installed a grant gt steering wheel on my 89 prelude si and i cant think of how to make the horn work, i tried hooking a wire to the stock clockspring assembly but it wouldnt turn with the wheel and kept ripping the wire off. i need help!! i need my horn to get an inspection sticker, so if anyone has any suggestions thatd be great thanks
