I'm looking for a front strut bar for my max. How important is the brand? I found a cheap one on ebay, but I don't know how good it is. What do you think? If it is no good, what brand should I get? Thanks. :bloated:

GET THE STILLEN BAR. no brand does not matter, what does matter is the way that it is made. ask yourself what do you want supporting your towers when you hit a 25mph off ramp doing about 50mph, solid metals or hollow ones? if you need help finding the right one drop me a line maybe i can help. [email protected] OR [email protected] notice the way the word import ends for each e mail. P.S. tell the people that make the hollow strut bars i said:finger: remember it is a SAFTY FEATURE (BRAND DOES NOT MATTER) STILLEN! STILLEN! STILLEN! STILLEN!

thanks for the help. i didn't even realize companys produced hollow ones. definitely don't want to get one of those. how do you know if they're hollow based on a prelim scan on ebay or something? i know the stillen one is probably my best bet, and i will for sure get that one if i can't find anything cheaper. just doin' some shopping. also, what do you think about the courtesy bar?

the best thing to do bro is just look look look thats what i did. but the funny thing is that my choice was the stillen bar all along i was just trying to find somthing better.( I didint!) the courtsy bar is good i havent herd any negative things about it however i dont know if it is hollow or solid. if you do get a hollow one its not a big deal ,but it is soothing knowing that the support on your car is better sollid.stillen bars rock:ylsuper

I got mine from streetbeat customs. It was around $35, pretty similiar to a lot of the bars on ebay, and it's solid, not hollow. Does the job, and for $35, you can't beat it. :D

What about the Courtesy Nissan FSTB? They make thiers for like 70 bucks... and it's solid too. I just put one on... it does make a difference. BTW, what is the torque recommendation for the lugs when you tighten the strut mount bolts?

don't pay for a name dude.
generic is just as good. it's only a strut tower brace
the new maxima's have front one's stock. go to your dealership and ask if they'll fit and how much $$$
