What do you guys think of it?? do you have one? think it is just pointless?? what are your opinons on it??

I myself have a myspace and think its pretty great. I like it because you can catch up with old friends that you havent talked to in years, meet new people, talk with friends etc etc. best part is all the fine as chicks you can find on there. thats my opinon on it.

yup... just about it seems, and its usually the same question asked about it.

I think myspace is gay:gay:! But then again if you get anything for free then IMO you loose your right to complain about it!:2cents:

I use it to keep in touch with people. I cant stand getting the friend requests from people who dont even actually know me. Other than those people i think myspace is cool. We also use it as the message board for our baseball team.

It's great to find people and to keep in touch, but IMO facebook is a lot better for me, since I'm a college student. Myspace has too many ads & bugs in it, and being able to 'customize' your myspace page lets people put insanely bright colors or pictures as their backgrounds, which annoys the hell out of me. Facebook is a more simple and clean formatted directory where you can send messages to friends.

But yea, myspace is great cuz you have acess to anyones profile, and search them by name - not just people at your school/your friends like facebook. (but that's also what makes it more unsafe)

eh i use myspace, ever since i graduated from HS its the only way i communicate with old friends.

its the only way i communicate with old friends.exactly. one of the best ways to find old long lost friends :lol: I've even found friends from back when I was in grammer school!!! so yeah it comes in handy.

I think it's gay, if I wanted to talk to these people I'd talk to them...There's probably a good reason I don't talk to them anymore and don't want to help them find me.

myspace sucks. a lot. i don't care what anyone has to say about it. truth is, there are a lot of better ways to do what you've all just stated, for example, facebook. "oh, yeah, but they're both pretty much the same"... no, facebook isn't a bug infested hellhole where the population falls into an orgy of internet popularity. moreover, to navigate myspace is like trying to compete in a dicatholon if you had leprosy. its' not happening. oh, and anyone who has figured out how to use html code to make their myspace completely unique... should really just shoot themselves. congratulations, you've spent the past 6 hours cuztomizing a fucking webpage that people use to stalk you. Also, funny thing, my friend just told me this morning,

Use your fucking phone! if you want to meet new people, GO OUTSIDE!... if you want to keep in touch with friends from school, use facebook, its sooo much easier for your purposes (if infact that is all that you're using myspace for anyways), and finally... if anyone so much as ever makes another myspace thread again, i will have a brain anurism.

to tell you the truth, its great because i have found people that i haven known in the past and have lost all contact with them, ive gotten in touch with some old friends of mine. I dont use it much and i dont know where all the drama comes from, but to me its just another way of communication via internet as AF or an IM program. To me its all good.

ive gotten laid a few times off myspace from girls i met on there. i also send messages to my friends that i just dont care to call. i love it.........

I like it. I have gotten in touch with people I went to school with and haven't seen since. I work to much to go out and visit most of these folks so we keep up on myspace. Myspace is good for some and stupid for others. I have one, but I rarely use it. I really only get on to see what's going on with my friends or something like that. Otherwise, I think it's a waste of time.

I've already noticed a decrease in people around me using it..... but that could be that i've graduated from high school and am no longer surrounded by dumbass teenage girls (fuck, i hate teenagers)

I have myspace, and like ghost said, it's good for messaging people you don't really feel like calling. If I have news that I want all my friends to know, I post a bulletin on myspace. Mainly because it's too hard to keep in touch with everybody by phone. It's better than email because you can just click their page and post a comment. Click home, click another friend and post a comment... it's just too easy.

What I don't like about it is that I get a bazillion friends and usually only keep in touch with about 15-20 of them. It's not a big deal though because if I know Im never going to need to talk to them anymore I just delete them. If I think one day, maybe in the next few years I just may be in their area and I would actually care to see them, I'll keep them. I don't see what all the fuss is when you have all the control over your own site. Why let other people's pages bother you?

I don't understand what bothers you guys about fakers on the internet. I don't even know how to contemplate how it makes any sense to let that bother you. I just can't figure it out. "Oh it's just a big popularity contest"... Ahhh, it is what you make it. "Congrats on wasting 6 hours for a damn webpage"... congrats on wasting your time complaining about it. I mean, really. I agree some people are just waayyyy too into it. I don't care. But I like the ability to customize my page. It's something I can do to show my personality. And if you don't over-do it, it's a good look. I mean, so what if you feel like expressing yourself in your webpage? You can't fret over the way OTHER people do something. I just hate to see you frustrated over nothing. Relax. Oooo Saaaa.

i've only had one friend request since i got on. i got all of my friends on my own but other than that only one person has given me a request. maybe i'm just special...... or unwanted.

I use it to keep track of bands that i like and to find local bands that i dont have time to go and see at the bars and clubs. Concert dates and album release dates so forth
