Fan Control Dial Won't Illuminate

Hi, I have been trying to fix this lighting problem w/ my 2000 accord EX for a while now. Many have suggested that I check fuses, which I did and to no avail the problem still exists:frown:.
I also recently tried removing the bezel trim to try to find a light. Unfortunately, I stopped b/c I couldnt get it loose from the ac:banghead:. All of the screws and the clock where out but I was afraid I would break something, since I wasnt too sure what was holding it (right at the top).
If som1 could tell me how to get this thing off w/o breaking it I'd appreciate it much. Also back to the original problem, am I going in the right direction with trying to get the Off 1-2-3 Fan Control Dial to light up again? Is there really a bulb back there or is it a wiring problem.
