i have been working on my 91 corsica for a while replacing all sensors to get it running and nothing seemed to work so i did a little searching and the 3.1L in my corsica is the same 3.1L in firebirds and comaros and they have a problem with when the fuel injectior goes to crap it shuts off the fuel rail of that injector and its a simple fix all you need to do is check all injectors with an ohm meter if its at 12.5 ohms or more its good if under that its junk replace the injector and your done itl run like new again!

That's correct, except the low resistance injector doesn't really shut off the fuel rail, but forces the injector driver to shut down to prevent overcurrent. Since the older systems are batch-fire, that means that all injectors in a bank will be shut down, or possibly ALL injectors will shut down.

The RP/Multec injectors used in that vintage car are known for failures of the solenoid coil insulation, causing lowered resistance and higher injector current. The failures are common, and are accellerated by commonly used gasoline additives (from the refinery or blender), fuel system cleaning additives, alcohol fuels, fuel driers, octane boosters, fuel line antifreezes, and water in the fuel. Any injector being tested should have at least 11 ohms, and that should not drop below 10 ohms when the injector is hot after repeated firing on a tester or in an engine.
