Turns out in one of my eclipses I have a 14b turbo and not the stock T25...
What is the difference between the two? Hp and powerwise...
Thanks

The t25 is basically maxed out at stock boost. IIRC the T25 is at 100% efficiency at 18 psi and flows 22 lbs/minute. Also IIRC, the 14b maxes out at 30 lbs/min. The 14b is a substantially bigger turbo than the T25.

there is a 14b turbo at the local shop for $100. but it has saft play.its about 1mm(maybe a little less) in/out and back and forth. is this normal? they told me that it will be ok, All non ball bearing turbos are like that. is it worth it? thanks

doesnt sound too bad of a deal thats not very much shaft play at all and it should last a while like that. the best part is that it is a tdo5h housing and you can send it in and rebuild it to alot of things like a 16g and a 18g so its a nice versitale turbo that really pulls hard and its not small by any means probally 2 times the size of the little t25

Sorry I forgot to use the edit button.
Or, you could just get a 2g install kit which SHOULD come with all new hardware, gaskets, and lines.

You can bend the 2g lines carefully, theyre pretty flexible but make sure not to kink them.

TeamRedline23, you should stop jacking everyones threads. Asking questions that might help the thread starter is ok, but from what I have noticed, you ask questions that have nothing to do with the thread starters question. To answer it though, yes, there should be a little bit of shaft play, but not very much.

I dont mean to jack anyone threads. I thought it would be ok because we are both asking questions about the same turbo. mtcs, sorry.
