Hey... some of us like the way things looked in the 80s.

No but yeah. They are hideous. How much does it cost to change them? Can you even find them anymore?

Shoot, if you end up getting that T/A and don't want those tail lights then send them my way. I like that style over the honeycombs. If you look on ebay, you can get a pretty good deal on people selling their tail lights, so thats the first place I would check.

Oh god, I wish I could afford this car lol. I was just curious as to if it was a good value.

Yeah, if I had $9,000, I would buy the first Firebird I could get my grubby hands on. V6, V8, 40k miles, 90k miles... whatever. I just want one :|

Well you always could settle for a slightly older one. Shoot, I bought mine in Aug of 2004. Had only 86,XXX miles, and was in absolute perfect condition. The nose was a little banged up, as most often are. But it was an all leather interior.. it was just great. It was the first car I had gone to look at, and it was the last right there. And it only cost me $3,250. Granted yeah it's a V6, but I couldn't be any happier with it. So check out some 93-97's too. If you're into the 98-02 look, then later on down the road you can always do a front end conversion.

looks like a great deal, but it looks like the drivers seat is diffrent form the passenger. look at the head rest, it looks like one out of a leater 93-97.

That looks beautiful! Only 9K? If you don't take it, I might. I LOVE the way the 98-02 TA's look, but they have to have the ram air hood. Forget replacing the taillights, just black 'em out. I love my blackouts.

That's definately an interesting T/A. Didn't even notice the seats until you mentioned that 97cavalier. Also just noticed the heater/ac caontrols are from 93-97 models too. So it's got 93-97 seats, 93-97 air controls, and 93-97 tail lights. Very interesting. Still a great lookin Trans Am though.

maybe they did a front end conversion? well no it has a ls1. Still worth it tho.

Maybe it's BS and they have pictures from 2 different cars...no? That seems a very low price for the LS1. No offense to the buyer here but the ad looks weird.

And I just noticed it's got the 93-97 steering wheel, you can tell because they changed the buttons in 98. And if it's a WS.6, then where's the badge that goes on the back bumper?

Also just noticed the 93-97 exhaust tips as well.

With all of that, I'm leading to believe that it's a 93-97 (leaning towards 97) T/A with a (98-02) front end conversion) LS1 swap and some WS.6 rims.

Just did a VIN check and that is a 1998 T/A. And that is an extremely good deal.

But maybe because it's the first year for the LS1 T/A, it retained much of the LT1 interior?

Alas... you are correct. I looked at some pics of some other T/A's.. turns out the the air controls and steering controls are the right ones. Turns out they changed those over in 2000. But the seats, tail lights, and exhaust tips still don't add up.

Maybe he needed tail lights replaced and found the old ones cheaper?

Whats wrong with the exhaust tips? They look just welded on aftermarket

something about them seats....looking at the drivers side control, they are diferrent than my 98 TA. Ive got 3 buttons to control seats movement not just 2. Other than that looks just like mine, the price is a very good deal. Since i seen several at the time i bought mine going for $16-18k
