On my dads 92 when you push the horn switch it feels like there is nothing normally you can feel like a little button but you don't and the horn does not work. Now I have not checked the horn or the relay yet. now is this a normal feeling for the horn switch? Also where is the horn relay located?

Those older airbags with the horn pad built in feel like a wet noodle.

The horn relay is in the electrical center behind the parking brake. The relay is the one on the top in the center.

Did you get this fixed?? I just fixed this same problem in my 92 caprice.. Come to find out the buttons were broken within the steering wheel due to bad design, the clips were broken on the outer housing of the buttons that holds the inner portion in place.

Ensure this is the problem by:

*Disconnecting the battery,
*Remove the 4 screws from the back of the steering wheel
*Carefully pull the front off and pull the chords to the buttons out..
See some plastic bits fall out? Theres your problem..

Go to your GM Dealership and for about $16 you can buy replacement horn buttons (2 wired together) and just snap them into place where the originals were. There IS a click to the '92s horn buttons!!! :) After they're in place, push the spring on the chord and put it in the center of the wheel which gives the horn power.. Make sure your chords stay out of the way of the screw holes and are routed as the orinals were.. Re-mount the steering wheel face and POOF! :) presto chang'o you've got a very loud horn again :)
