You have to start using words at the dealer like "lemon law". The deal is that id they can't fix a problem after repeated tries, they should take the car back or make you a deal on another one. But definitely ask how to contact the local GM representative, that usually gets them motivated to fix it right.

thing is, you shouldn't have to do that. if this were a perfect world, then it wouldn't have broken in the first place. i do agree that it taking them 3-4 tries to repair the problem is WAY too many times. Just to see what they say, ask them about the end links.(sway bar)

How about an update? Did the dealer get it fixed? At least you have a dealer that is trying, that's 3/4 the battle with GM these days.

Yeah my 2006 2 door colbalt LT has the same problem. The dealer replaced the steering shaft and it is still doing the same thing when I go over bumps

Has anyone tried removing all of the plastic "garbage" covering in engine? I have been having the same noise and am going to see if this cures the problem. Will keep all posted as to what the outcome is.

Yikes.. bringing back a 3yr/old post here, but yeah, the plastic engine cover pulls right off. Remove the oil fill cap and lift it right off. Put the oil cap back on and you are now cover-less.

Was referring to not just the engine cover but also the fuse / relay box and the cover just forward to that also. My noise seems to be coming from under the hood in that general area. Sounds may be radiating and sounding like it's coming from behind the instrument cluster. And sorry about bringing up old history but am new to the forum. Hope one of us can figure out this annoying rattle we are having.
