Lose power for 1 second...

Hey all;
The other day I was driving and the car was at normal operating temp. Just cruising along, and I felt a dip in power, like the car wanted to die... but it was just for one second. I kept driving, and it did it again. Total, it did it like 5 times all right on time.
DIdn't do it again until tonight. Started the car up at the movies and it dipped. Car was cold and at idle. RPM dropped to about 300 and lights all faded and everything for 1 second. It did that 3 times, and I started driving and it didn't do it again. Same as before, it was perfectly even timing with the dips. Any ideas at all what this can be? I would say there was a good 10-15 seconds between each dip. Ideas? Thanks!

I had a similar problem the other day...it ended up being the connecters to the battery terminals....It just wasnt getting a good connections and it would come a little loose every once in a while....and the car would just turn off in the middle of driving...and the stereo would turn off...along with any else electrical....kind of scary...

It was at idle and while cruising, maybe 20% throttle. The battery posts are good. Everything has a great connection. All grounds are good too (grounding kit).

OK so the problem is getting worse now. The car is starting to run like shit constantly now. I'll be driving cruising at like 50 and the thing would lose power for a split second and then happen a couple times after that. It's been doing it more and more. I'm going to pull the plugs when I have time. Last time I did that (couple months back) they were fine. Battery is fine too. Voltage gauge looks good, all charging and everything. I can't find what the beef is here. PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you guys have coil packs or distributors? Thats what it sounds like to me other than shitty battery connections (my first guess).

We do have coil packs... mine is a newer MSD pack.
I figured it out last night. My SAFC is hooked up to a serial male serial port, and then the female port is on the dash, close to the handbrake. I installed a new radio last week and had to move the wires and all. I can't sodder too well neither. It turns out that if I touch the connector the idle dips and I lose power, just like before. The MAP sensor was losing it's connection. So I have to take it apart and redo the connector now. THat's going to suck, however, at least I know it's not something too serious though.
