Well my buddy has a 92 toyota tercel i am going to buy. My brother has a 95 tercel so i know they are pretty good cars. The 92 is red and is a 5 speed. It is in kinda rught shape. the out side looks fine. The motor and body have 190,000 miles. It uses a little oil because the valve seals are shot ( which is normal for the tercels). the inside is in ok shape to, a couple of stains but not to bad. The main thing wrong with it is the clutch is a little soft, he said the clutch is not bad. so i thing bleed the cluch, and replace the slave cylender and see whats up. And the car uses oil because the valve seals. So i plane on getting it for a gas saver and play around car. He is giving it to me for $125!! And later down the road, i plan on putting a turbo motor in it, i can get on that bolts in for $1,200 with all wires and ecu. I will get pics later.

Thats pretty cool, but I wouldnt get a turbo motor because it has the turbo, i'd instead get a replacement engine just so it can continue keeping that gas saving status..

Pretty cool though for 125

the turbo motor is a 1.3 so it can't be that bad on gas. And it will be cool to have a little ricer turbo. And i think it is a steel for $125. It has fairly new paint on it to. the guy who had it befor him had it painted.

That's cool, $125 isn't bad if it runs.

Fix it up a little and put in on the corner for 1500. That'll help out the gas situation pretty good. Last thing I would want to do after I get a deal like that would be to create another money pit when I could turn a profit in no time. Where I live a car that can pass inspection and run gets at least 500 bucks, even if it's a rust bucket. Just something to think about...

Yes but a vehicle that will gain you 15-20 mpg will save you a boatload of cash too.

My truck runs me ~$75 every 3-4 days @ ~15 mpg. Figure you're getting about 8 free gallons or so... saves you 25-30 bucks every 3-4 days... plus it probably won't have a 25 gallon tank. Forget selling it now, drive the bastrd until the prices let up THEN sell it. You could drink for free every week while you're driving it.

A "friend" of mine who had to have his Hummer H2 just put $120 in his tank at 8 MPg before the lead foot goes down.
