does anyone know where the fuel pump is located and if it is hard or easy to replace

on my 90 hatch it is located under the back seat and the tank has to be removed to change it.
is something wrong with your pump?

yeah this guy across the street who does nothing but work on cars is saying its my fuel pump becasue my car when i start it up it doesnt keep a steady idle it goes down and up and the guy is saying that is not geting enough gas so my pump is bad

it could also be the main relay too i think.
