First model: Revell Civic Jdm look

This is my first model and my first post on this site. Its the revell civic hatchback tuner series. Ive been looking on this site for about a month now and it seems like almost everyone has made this model at least once. Painted it Tamiya Italian Red. I also painted the hood, and spoiler black along with the rims. All the still-primered sections will be black as well. Front lip will be done tonight along with most of the window frame. Looks good, although that paint will need a bit of polishing...

One question:
why did you mask the window trim/frame before painting?
Now you will have to mask again for painting it and the primer may show between the red and black...
