95 Achieva drops during backing up and braking

My achieva still running good with 208,000 miles on it but.... tonight while backing up i braked and the left side of my car dropped just in the back though. it does not do it when i go foward just back and just on the passenger side. what possibly could it be.

Ever had rear brake work done? Sounds like rear shoes out of adjustment.

When my dad looked at them he said they looked a little rusty. But today now it didnt do it all day
