2007 Eclipse GT or 2006 mini cooper S

I am deciding to either buy a 2007 Eclipse GT or a 2006 mini cooper S. I love both cars. I was wondering what you guys think is the better buy.

Different cars completely. The mini handles like a god. In here you might get more people to go with a 3g. I like each. Eclipse might be a better bet for straight line racing though. Just depends what your looking for in a car.

This is going to be a hard choice

well, the eclipse is dang near twice the size of that mini cooper, so it has somewhat to do with safety and how you like to drive.

I'd take a Mini Cooper S since its owned by BMW

BMW has been known to make some crap in it's past few years so just because it's kinda BMW dont think it's a "good" car. Yes I like mini's...but god damn they get $$ when you deck them out!!!

I've driven both cars and personally found the Mini Cooper S to be a funner car to drive... though I couldn't imagine myself owning either car.

I would most def. take the 07 eclipse gt or better yet I seen a 2006 eclipse at the dealership a few weeks ago, I think it was a SE if I'm not mistaken (I know it wasnt a gs,gt,or gt-s) and it was SICK!!!

I know thats what I thought at first but take a mini cooper S for a test drive and you will fall in love with it.

Yeah I'm not one of the smartest ones on these boards lol. I just think the mini's are one of the uglyest cars ever made, ever time I see one I think about that clown looking car that steve urkel drove in family matters.

ok heres the way I look at it
2006 Mini Cooper S 2524lbs @ 207hp = 12.19:1 Power to weight
2007 Eclipse 3274lbs @ 263hp = 12.44:1 Power to weight
hmmm intresting a 4cyl turbo vs v6 now dont get me wrong I'm a mitsubishi fan though and though but I'd probably go Mini.
