HELP! my car makes this crazy noise everytime i turn right, only when i turn right, its like a rattling noise, almost as if someone is dragging a pipe on the ground, but nothing is under the car, nothing seems to be hitting anything else, i dont see like any metal shavings, or any metal thats clean because of something rubbing up against it, i do see some light metal shavings in the right wheel, but i think its from the brakes, i have semi-metallic pads on there, any help will be great, i'll answer questions. feel free to ask

Hmmm, I would consider myself an expert here, but I had problems like that recently. I knew my brakes were having issues, and was going to replace them, but when I took a right turn, this high pitched squeal or scraping noise would occur. Sometimes it would occur when turning left, but mainly turning right. The problem was the rotors were completely worn and needed to be replaced, and i'm sure the fact that the brakes were dragging (something wasn't properly lubricated in the calipers) didn't help it at all.

I wouldn't say thats what your problem is, and i'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in, but thats what my problem was and my solution so I just thought i'd toss that out there for ya, just in case it helps. :)

well i did the brakes a while ago, all calipers and pads, but rotors i didnt do, i was thinking of having them turned versus buying new ones, two at a time.

If it's more of a popping noise, it could be a CV axle. If its a grinding noise, it could be a hub bearing.

well for some reason im starting to think maybe its the tranny, sometimes if im backing out from a spot or something, and i quickly hit it into drive while its moving, i'll hear it, and it seems to be something from the final drive coming out, im not sure of what to make of it.
