wasting to much gas

hey I am new and I wanted to ask a question . I have a 1993 mustang GT with 199K org 302 , no smoke ,knocking ,or pings . My problem is that I can drive the can with the ac on for ( 30 miles ) and I lose like half a tank . I get around 150-160 miles a tank , but my gas guage is off by 1/4 tank. How can I fix the problem ? regular tune ups oil changed 3000 miles . Need help

How many miles to the gallon are you getting?

I know the sending units on the fox body's go out frequently, mine did on my '87 GT. This could fix your gas gauge. As far as the gas situation, the motor has close to 200k miles, you have a 302, and your running the AC........welcome to the wonderful world of V8's.

I have owned plenty v8 and the 93 stang takes the cake. my 03 and my 56 chevy 350 4bolt main gets better gas milage

So many things affect fuel mileage.
Do your fuel injectors have 199K on them?
How about catalytic converters? Oxygen sensors? EGR system?
Have you ever cleaned your MAF?
When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?

Hey Check out all the main things that would rob your fuel. LIke the air filter, spark plugs and wires, Air in the tire, and then run some of that fuel injector cleaner in there. On a full tank. Dont use that shit to much though it can mess some shits up so im told.
