:banghead: I have been looking for an idler tensioner for my 1991 6 cylinder Probe for over a year now and am having absolutely no luck what-so-ever! Ford no longer makes the part and it's not available from any aftermarket suppliers I have contacted. I pulled one off a junked vehicle and it broke just like my original one did. Are there any aftermarket suppliers of this part out there? The idler tensioner bolts onto the water pump bracket and creates the tension on the serpentine belt. Is there a way to fix this car in a way that I don't have to use a tensioner, for example maybe install a fixed pully and tighten the belt some other way? Any help would be appreciated.

They use a mazda engine and this part should be easily found at a junk yard.
Look on ebay for one. Advance uses dayco and they sell some tensioners.
