Greetings All,
Have utilized the forum on a few occasions to "remedy" problems with my Explorer, but the latest problem is a real head scratcher.
Three days ago went to start the vehicle, got a series of "clicks" and then nothing. Checked battery (low) and tried boosting but nogo. Battery was replaced with new one, starter relay on fender wall was replaced. Put in a new positive battery cable (went 1 gauge for good measure), cleaned all ground points, checked/cleaned fuses, relays, etc.
No power to interior lights, no battery function when key is turned, no ignition power when key is turned. I tried crossing the starter relay posts and it fires (not runs), lead from positive post to ignition terminal turns starter.
Ideas and suggestions most welcome.

Have "fixed" the problem. I actually had reversed one of the leads to the starter relay which gave me the "no power" situation. My own fault for rushing to get the job done!

Just to let everyone know. I "fixed" the no power/no start situation. It would seem that I had reversed one of the cables to the starter relay in my rush to get the job done! Lesson: take the time to do the job well AND label those leads and lines!!
